Merchant terms (pilot)
- kTown never holds money and is not a wallet. It shows your Tando address as a QR code on your counter.
- Tando (bitcoin.co.ke) converts the sats into M-Pesa for a 1% fee, paid by the payer on top of your shillings.
- Payments, refunds and failed payments are between the payer, Tando and M-Pesa. kTown cannot refund or reverse a payment.
- This is a pilot: kTown is free and may stop. If it stops, your Tando address keeps working, because money never passes through kTown.
Privacy notice
- kTown stores your M-Pesa number, your shop and M-Pesa names, and your payment records: amount, shillings, payment hash, M-Pesa code and time. Nothing about who pays you is stored, because it is never asked for.
- These records run your history and prove what landed in M-Pesa.
- To close your account and delete your names and number, message the help contact shown in the app. Payment records are kept for the books.

- kTown haishiki pesa wala sio pochi. Inaonyesha anwani yako ya Tando kama msimbo wa QR kwenye kaunta yako.
- Tando (bitcoin.co.ke) hubadilisha sats kuwa M-Pesa kwa ada ya asilimia 1, inayolipwa na mlipaji juu ya shilingi zako.
- Malipo, marejesho na malipo yaliyoshindikana ni kati ya mlipaji, Tando na M-Pesa. kTown haiwezi kurejesha au kubatilisha malipo.
- Huu ni mpango wa majaribio: kTown ni bure na unaweza kusimama. Ukisimama, anwani yako ya Tando inaendelea kufanya kazi, kwa sababu pesa haipitii kTown kamwe.
Taarifa ya faragha
- kTown huhifadhi nambari yako ya M-Pesa, majina ya duka lako na ya M-Pesa, na rekodi za malipo yako: kiasi, shilingi, hash ya malipo, kodi ya M-Pesa na muda. Hakuna taarifa kuhusu anayekulipa inayohifadhiwa, kwa sababu haiulizwi kamwe.
- Rekodi hizi zinaendesha historia yako na kuthibitisha kilichofika M-Pesa.
- Kufunga akaunti yako na kufuta majina na nambari yako, mtumie ujumbe anwani ya msaada iliyo kwenye programu. Rekodi za malipo huhifadhiwa kwa vitabu.
